Eric is a design principal who has over 12 years experience in landscape architecture in California, Nevada and Hawaii. He received his Landscape Architecture degree from California Polytechnic State University, Pomona. He has worked on a vast variety of project types that include: redevelopment work, streetscapes, universities, business parks, podium, mixed retail, private parks, resort recreation centers, apartment communities, desert communities, and large master plan communities. His expertise is in landscape design, construction and implementation, taking projects from preliminary concept through construction.

Hue Ta, ASLA, is a principal overseeing all public works projects and has over 12 years experience estimating and managing public works jobs for Marina Landscape, Inc. His budgeting experience and construction experience ensures maximum efficiency in workflow and cost from a project’s initial concept all the way through construction. His expertise in the design build process ensures that money is spent above ground where it can be seen.
He received his Landscape Architecture degree from California Polytechnic State University, Pomona. His expertise in Cost Estimating, Budgeting, Bidding, Design Build, Project Management, and Field Operations plays a key role in offering a turnkey landscape package to clients. Hue has experience with projects in public and private sectors, including state and federal levels. Hue is a board director of the Construction Leadership Council of AGC California and an active member in the Design Build Institute of America.

Chris holds certifications from Caltrans, the Irrigation Association, and the California Landscape Contractor Association. Chris is a Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor, Irrigation Designer, and a Certified EPA WaterSense Partner. He is a leader in the irrigation industry; his expertise is called upon by manufacturers, cities and water districts, while his design techniques are often used as templates. His expertise helps Marina Design Group develop andscape designs that are efficient, water-wise, and cost-effective.
Chris has designed irrigations systems ranging from custom residential to multi-phase master planned communities containing 2,200 plus homes. His designs have included low flow drip irrigation, high flow sports fields with pumps, medians for cities, slopes for Caltrans, and podium structures. He has worked with many builders, developers, and contractors throughout the western United States.

Joel has worked in the landscape design industry for 4 years. He received his Landscape Architecture degree with a minor in Ornamental Horticulture from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He received the 2006 ASLA Community Service Award of Honor for the planning project Reconnecting Wilmington, working with the community to evaluate the critical needs to better inform the master plan design. Prior to coming aboard, Joel worked at Ken Smith Workshop West, refining the Orange County Great Park Master Plan. Joel’s specialty and passion includes plant material and sustainable planting design.

Corey has worked in the landscape design Industry for 4 years. He received his Landscape Architecture degree from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. Prior to coming on board with Marina Design Group, Corey worked at two landscape architecture firms and was in charge of the day to day management of landscape projects ranging from estate, large master planned communities, HOA recreation, parks, model homes, and podium projects throughout Southern California. Corey worked on construction package production as well as field observation on various projects for clients such as William Lyon Homes, DR Horton, Mulvaney Development, Hughes Investments, and HEC Retail.
Notable projects include the 2008 Philharmonic House of Design, Crystal Cove; and the Eastwood Residence at Tehama, Carmel. |
